Design & Display
The Vivo V3 Max is a 5.5-inch smartphone with IPS LCD screen. The screen has the pixel density of 401ppi which is quite decent for a mid-range smartphone. The sharpness of V3 Max is great and colors are well saturated as well. So, overall it’s a good display with normal sunlight readability.
The front of the device having 5.5-inch display panel in the middle. On top, there is front facing camera along with earpiece and notification led. At the bottom, there are three touch capacitive buttons for home back and recent apps functionality. On the left, there is SIM-tray for inserting dual SIMs along with external memory card. On the right side of the phone, there is lock button along with volume rocker. At the back, there is a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and fingerprint sensor.
Connectivity
The smartphone has dual SIMs and both on standby. Only one SIM can be used to get full 3G and 4G connectivity while the second one will be limited to 2G. If you want to insert dual SIMs in your Vivo V3 Max, then you cannot insert the memory card. Because there is the same slot for both features. There is 3.5 mm headphone jack for connecting hands-free.
Performance & User Interface
When it comes to performance, the Vivo V3 Max has Octa-core Snapdragon 652 chipset. There are four 1.8GHz Cortex A72 processors and four 1.4GHz Cortex A53 processors. There is Adreno 510 GPU in the smartphone along with RAM of 4GB. The internal storage of mobile phone is 32 GB with micro-SD card support up to 128 GB.
The V3 Max comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop OS upgradable to Marshmallow 6.0. The android version is customized with company own Fun touch OS. There is no app drawer in Fun Touch OS. The interface of the device is a mixture of android as well as of iOS.
Camera
There is 13-megapixel shooter at the back of the device with f/2.0 aperture lens. Below the camera, there is an LED flash to capture your moments in dark. The company claims that you can capture interpolated 52 MP ultra HD pictures. The camera UI is simple with only a few options. There are different modes available like HDR, Panorama, and Night mode.
There is 8-megapixel camera on the front for taking high-quality selfie pictures. The rear camera can record 1080p videos. The selfie camera is also capable of capturing videos in 1080p.
Battery
The last but not the least point to discuss in the review is about the battery of Vivo V3 Max. There is 3,000mAh non-removable battery unit. It can give you 29 hours of 3G talk time which is superb. When it comes to playback and web browsing, you can get 9 hours and 10 hours talk time respectively.
